I went to Las Vegas last week and I found it to be a very IC friendly place!!! There are so many public bathrooms, I think I left urine in every casino I entered. Buffet style eating works well for me also. You can take a bite, and if it tasts too good, get rid of it and go get something else. I made out well with breakfast buffets. The bad part of Vegas is paying for bottled water. Its very expensive there. I was getting free bottled water by gambling in the casinos. They like to keep you well hydrated.

Diagnosed August 2001
Current IC meds: Elmiron (since 2001), Levaquin (one pill after intercourse to prevent UTIs), Effexor (for depression & anxiety)
Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA, Lexapro (for depression & anxiety, but also helped my IC) (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)
I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for about 8 years now.

“We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.” ~ Viktor Frankl

These bathrooms are the most beautiful things I have ever seen! The Belliago had gold plated toliets!!!! It got to be a thrill for me to go into every bathroom to see if it was more impressive than the next. It is such a wonderful place for an IC patient. Its like being in the land of toliets."You can stand me up at the gates of Hell, but I Won't Back Down."
