Just picked up Leslie and Rick from their cruise. They had a wonderful time and I got to see thr first round of pictures from Carnival and the camera phone. I can't wait to see the rest!!! They were awesome. I was hoping to go with them this time but with the new job I couldn't get the time off to go. Next year, I am all over it!! Leslie got me the coolest T-shirt too, absolutely beautiful. Anyway, they are headed out now to drive back to West Virginia. It was great fun finally getting to meet and hang out too.

      Hugs,
      Barb

Awww... that is SO awesome. I am so glad that they had the opportunity to do this and that YOU will have the opportunity next year

        You and Leslie deserve it!!!

Also, we kinda dropped the IC Road Trip idea ... remember the big RV with a sign on it saying "Honk if you've gotta pee... ask us about IC" Maybe that should be brought up again... LOL!!!!!

            Jen,
Oh yeah, our Road Rules IC trip--that still needs to happen. I have been thinking--who can drive the a mega RV? I think that would be our only issue---except wait--we could find some hunky rent a driver. When we first came up with this idea the ear worm every time I thought about it was the song from Smokey and the Bandit-"East bound and down, loaded up and truckin, we're gonna do what they say can't be done. We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there...."The funny thing is we've both moved east! We need a new theme song LOL

            Hee-hee,

Leslie is mailing me our t-shirts.. I talked to her earlier today, and then we talked for a little over an hour this evening.. she was telling me how much fun she had.
Wonder if Jill could book a cruise just for ic patients at a discount price.. of course our significant others can go, unless you don't want to be bothered with them lol

Barb, I'm so happy that you finally got to meet Leslie and Rick. Sounds like the three of you had a BLAST together! Sure wish I could have been around to meet everyone, too!!! How thoughtful of Leslie to get you a t-shirt!

04/17/09 Crohn's disease almost killed me with a combo of extreme constipation from pain medications. My bowel ruptured, I almost died from peritonitis and spent several days in the ICU then more in a private room on the floor. If you have any questions about severe constipation from pain meds please don't hesitate to send me a message.

Thanks so much Barb for everything you did with us, even though it was a couple short visits. I loved dinner at Grills, thaks for telling us about it. I just wish we both felt like gettign hammered together that night. That is our plan next year. OH and for you to book the adjoining room also, so we can flare together and watch chick flick while Rick gambles. I wore my matchingt-shirt home today, gee had I stayed an extra day we could have been the IC bobsie twins. You are now more then just a friend to me, I feel like I found my long lost ic sister. Thanks so much for being the responsible contact from the ship to my family back home and friends. That was sweet of you.

Anytime my dear, anytime. I feel the same way. Poor Rick, he is now the only man I can pick on in my life, God help him! At least he has a great sense of humor. Since you know I will be requesting time off for the cruise next year this year, we better warn the poor man that two of us may be wild! At least he can parasail(those harnesses would kill the bladders)and we can hop in for the snorkeling and jet-ski fun. I feel so much closer now, it is like having a sister I never had. Grills was a hoot, huh? The band was awesome(they covered 80's hard rock). The food has always rocked and I'm glad you guys like it. We'll hit it next year on Cruisin' Part II.

                      Love,
                      Barb
