  • Anniversary gift

I want to find something great for my husband of 2 years who's been there for me through many tough times. Our anniversary is next Monday. He's a carpenter who really likes motorcross, skateboarding, movies, cooking, and growing vegetables. I don't have any good ideas as of yet.
He loves tools, but likes to pick them out himself. I think that's a little impersonal too (he's not the sentimental type though). I mostly just want to surprise him with something even if it's small.
    Any ideas????

That's a tough one. How about a pair of garden gloves with a gift certificate to his favorite garden store tucked in one of the gloves?

You know that's a really good idea! He uses his motorcycle gloves when he's pruning the blackberries.

Many years ago, when I was actually young and living away from home for the first time, I bought a pair of gloves for my dad and tucked $5 bills in the fingers of one glove. In a few days I had a response from him --- all it said was "You missed one glove. Love, Dad" It's one of my favorite memories of him and I have since tucked various small gifts inside gloves.
