  • Thankful for my fiance

We've been together for a long time now with a very short breakup in there somewhere, and we've been living together in our home for over 2 years. He's seen me go from the healthy, perky little RN to this homebound sick person that I've become. He's been so sweet lately with all my aches, pains, complaints and is one of the very few people in my life that knows I have severe pain and believes everything I say. He's gone to many of my doctor's appts with me and is planning on going to my Rheumatologist appt about the Lupus. He's shown up at my pain mgmt appts when I didn't even know he was going to come, just because he wanted to make sure my doctor took me seriously when I said I needed an increase in my pain med.

He wrote a post on this board for me when I had a mental collapse over a stupid Dr. Phil show on moochers...he's just there for me.

Today he called me 3 times to make sure I was doing ok on the prednisone and just wanted to know how I was feeling.

I just wanted to say how lucky I am that I have him in my life. I really don't know what I'd do without him! Just when I think my life is in ruins he pulls me back to reality and lets me know that there really is hope out there for me.

04/17/09 Crohn's disease almost killed me with a combo of extreme constipation from pain medications. My bowel ruptured, I almost died from peritonitis and spent several days in the ICU then more in a private room on the floor. If you have any questions about severe constipation from pain meds please don't hesitate to send me a message.

He's so wonderful. You are very blessed in many ways. Can you imagine going through this illness alone? God blessed you for sure.

                HUGS to you both!
