  • My Husband Is So Thoughtful

My husband and I were sitting outside the other day enjoying the nice weather we have been having and there was a little breeze blowing.. I told him I sure wish I had some windchimes, because at my house that I lost in hurricane Katrina I had wind chimes all around my porch and I use to love to sit on my porch in the morning and breath the gulf air and listen to my wind chimes. Living on the water there was always a breeze blowing to.. It was so nice.. I miss it so much!

But anyways, Last night I went and got my bath and my husband said, when you are done why dont you come sit on the back porch with me..So when I was done I walked outside and he had hung 3 differant kinds of wind chimes up for me a small one a medium purple one (purple is my favorite color) and a bamboo one.. I thought that was so sweet of him.. He said, I know this does not bring your house back nor do you have the ocean breeze, but at least you will still have the soft chimes that you loved so much...

He is so thoughtful, I was in tears..Its amazing how just small things like windchimes can mean so much.....
    Hugs
    Ronda

That is so sweet Ronda! What would we do w/o our great hubbies?
                Christine

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

Proud wifey of Shane, mommy to Griffin, and step-mom to Logan and Gage
Also proud mom to the best Bullmastiff on earth, Claus

What a great guy Ronda!!! I love those kinds of things! Doesn't happen very often around our house, lol, but every now and then hubby does something that makes me stop and think - WOW!

Enjoy those chimes - I know I'd be lost without mine, I love them. I had a great set of chimes, it was tuned to Chicago Blues notes, and last year it gave up the ghost...I was outside tending my flower and I heard a clank clank clank, lol, they all came unstrung. My inlaws bought us some new ones as part of our anniversary gift! It was awful without them!!!
                            Hugs,

Your husband is a wonderful man. I love to read stories like this one because it just seems(sadly) that so many men aren't like him.
Your story also had a special impact on me because I am seriously grieving right now over the sale of my home that I lived in for 24 years. It was my childhood home, my husband and I bought it from my parents and did a lot of work on it. I loved that house so very much and have had an ache in my heart since I left it.
In reading your story, I was reminded of how many people lost homes they loved dearly, and they didnt even have a choice to leave or not. Nor were most of them compensated for the loss of something so important to them. I am sure you do miss your home so much and I hope you can find another place that becomes very dear to you also. Thank you for posting your story.
