  • Amy.. A True Blessing

I have noticed that there is a very special person on these boards that always tries to help all of us when we need a prayer or just a hug..

But I have noticed when she is down or hurting she never comes to us and complains, she just tries to stay positive and keep her spirits up, even in her darkest moments..

But I know at any given time. I could pm her or write her and shes always right there..She is a true blessing to this bored and whatever is happening in her life right now, I want her to know shes not alone and I am always here for her..And want her to know she is in my prayers..

    God Bless You Amy

      Dear Ronda and April,

Thank you both for your very thoughtful posts, both here and in the other thread. You have both always been there for me whenever I have needed you and neither of you will ever know how much that has meant to me. In fact, I saw both threads containing your posts a few minutes ago, but I was so overcome with emotion, that I had to look away for a few minutes and go read something else, so I could compose myself enough to write. You both moved me beyond words. Even now, I am struggling to get words to come out, because there just aren't any that encompass all that I am feeling. I am truly moved.

Thank you both again for all that you do for me.

      Hugs,
      Amy

Thank you, Katrina. I havent seen you around here much lately, and want you to know that we all miss you here. You have helped so many people here (both oldies and newbies). I still refer to several of your posts each time I flare, and can usually find something in your "bag of tricks" to help me get thru it. If that were your only contribution here, that alone would make you outstanding, but every day you have been here, you have helped someone in the same ways you have helped me, by either delivering critical information at a crucial time, or by posting support, comfort and hope at the exact right moment. I dont know if you realize how much you are needed here, but each day that you arent here, your absence is felt as strongly as your presence was. I hope you are okay. Please know that you are missed terribly.

                Hugs,
                Amy

                    Sandy and Octoberfarm,

Thank you both also for replying in the other thread. Just as when I read the others posts there, I was truly overcome with emotion. It made me cry to read what you guys wrote. I wanted to thank you over here instead of there, b/c I know that if I read it again, I will be torn up all over again. But, I want you both to know how much your posts meant to me. You have both always been there whenever I needed a kind word. Today was one of those days. That was the weird thing about seeing your posts, no one had any idea that I needed them today.

                    Thank you all again!

                    Hugs,
                    Amy

Since I have joined this site, I have thanked God for an Angel he sent to me named "Amy". Sweetie, you have done so much for each and every one of us that have joined up, what everbody else says about you is so very true and I just want to say thank you for always being there for me when I'm down. I will probably never meet you (in this lifetime, anyway) but feel that at some point I will know you for who you really are, and I believe you're an "Angel", Amy.
Lots of God's blessings on you, always, and you are in my prayers forever.

Drugs I have used in the past:
                          Elmiron
                          Elavil
                          Gabapentin

                          Demerol
                          Flexeril
                          Way too many to list!!!!!

                          Medical History:
Have had L4 laminectomy, L4,5 & S1 discectomies, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, gall bladder removed, nasal surgery for accute sinusitis, severe, endometriosis resulting in a total hysterectomy. Also diagnosed with IC, IBS, severe spinal stenosis, severe osteo-arthritis, I wear hearing aids in both ears due to an earlier "abusive marriage". I have Hepatitis C Type 1b, have had this for over 3 decades, this has affected my liver and immune system. Had a blood tranfusion when I was in the Middle East and we think that I got the Hep C at that time. They buy the "blood" there, and as it was so many years ago, they didn't even know the disease existed.I have lost over 60 lbs since my botched hysterectomy where they had to go in again and remove 4 feet of my colon where they had mistakenly stapled it through. I've shrunk from 5'9 to 5'6 because of the osteoporosis. When they first diagnosed me with IC, they found out that my bladder is only 40% the size of a normal bladder, which explains why I have to pee so often, even aside from the IC! I Have had two hydrodistentions, so far, but will need more on a regular basis. We all need to have faith that they will find a cure soon.
I believe that if we can reduce our stress, learn better ways to cope, we may have a better chance of dealing with this!!!
