I have been posting about what has been going on with me. OK. I reckon I have posted some of it by now. Many of you should be aware I did have major neck surgery back in March of 2010. Anyway, I still had neck and shoulder pain sometimes. Oh, yeah! I did have some periods where I was pain free.(and never complained of pain with IC) OK. An MRI that was done in November did show my neck was good. My lower back started hurting some, too. AN MRI done last month did show a herniated disc at the L3&4. Yep! My legs would get weak some, too.(pain in left one sometimes) Oh! I feel at work more than once. I can't go back until the neurosurgeon fills out the paperwork stating that I am able to work again.(which I may not be able to) I have fallen since then, too. The neurosurgeon did not think the falls were related to the herniated disc. OK. The neurologist did have me to do an ENG.(some test that determines if there is an imbalance or an ear problem)By the way, I have got an imbalance around the left ear.(another diagnoses now) OK. I will have an MRI done on my head in the morning. Of course, I did have a CT scan on my head last January.(all good)(which neurologist is aware of) Oh, yeah! I also had my B12 and thyroid checked. (no low B12)(thyroid up some) Geez! I had to switch from .088 to .075 on my Synthroid.(which I have been on ever since 1993) Come on. Overactive thyroid may have caused some of the weakness and tiredness.(as I feel like I am ready to fall out now.(nap earlier)(or actually passed midnight by now) OK. It may be why I went to the neurologist office shaking some. I got on the scale and fell backwards. Oh! My weight was seen by the lady first of all. I was not hurt then, either. That means 3 more diagnoses since being unable to go back to work.(as in herniated disc, imbalance, and hyperthyroidism again) Oh, yeah! I was supposed to have a functional capacity evaluation on January 4th. OK. We just postponed.(or may not do it at all) I am walking with a cane sometimes now. I can't pass a work evaluation with a cane and my legs being all weak. Oh! I have typed a chapter by now. I better start trying to snooze again. Yep! That will be all now.

You certainly have a lot of medical problems to deal with! More than any one person should have.
Can they do anything about the herniated disc?
I will keep you in my prayers.

Meds: Estrogel (due to total Hyster)
The meds r/xed by my Pain Dr. from the Pain Clinic are as follows: Morphine ER and IR, Baclofen, and Lyrica and Seroquel (used off-label as a sleeping pill, but it also helps with depression)
(I listed my meds in case someone reading this has been told like so many ICers that Drs dont r/x pain meds for IC.) I want you to know that there ARE tons of us who are also dealing w/this disease and the pain and many of us ARE on pain meds.)

So sorry States. My sis-in-law has horrible back and neck problems and is constantly having issues with it. She does find stretching exercises first thing in AM and last thing at nite to be the one thing that helps her a bit.
What a pain to have all of that going on! Hopefully you will find relief. Wish you the best. Jill, wife of BobComment
