  • Prayers for my procedure

I'm having the leep procedure on September the 9th. I've been having cervical biopsies for about 2 years now, and the abnormal cells have started spreading further up my cervix. My ob says he wants to treat it now. They have no idea why it's happening, but it has to be done before it turns bad. I would really aprreciate your prayers that he can remove all the bad cells, and I can move on with my life.
    Thanks!!!!

As the days get closer to the 9th, I've realized something. I don't wanna do this. I'm so scared! It's just hitting me now how serious this is. I may get cervical cancer. I can't talk to my family, I have to be strong for them especially my three year old. I'm holding back tears right now because my husbands sitting in the room with me. Nausea is welling up inside me. Cancer for god's sake!! Lord give me strength to make it through this.

Boonky, take a deep breath.........now take another. Things always seem worse at night. Your ob is trained to do these procedures and he will take whatever cells he needs to and then your procedure will be over. If I am not mistaken, I think my sister had this done and nothing came of it.

Waiting to have a procedure is always panic time for me. I think that is normal for many of us. Why do we always think the worse case scenario? I've had numerous repeat mammograms and I feel your panic.

Now kiss your bundle of joy and try to get some rest.

I'll keep you in my thoughts. I know it's frightening --- it wouldn't be human to not be at least a little nervous about medical procedures. It sounds like your doctor has been watching you closely, which is good news. Please let me know how it goes for you.

            Sending gentle hugs,
            Donna

Thank y'all for all your support! I'm feeling better tonight. Still dreading it, but I wanna be here for my family. So I gotta put on my big girl panties and do it. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Just got done. I had a three hour wait ( doctor had to deliver a baby). Feeling a little nauseous, dizzy, and uncoordinated. They say its normal. Gotta go back in 4 months to do another pap. Hoping everything goes well and I don't have to do this over.
