Has anyone been annointed with oil and prayer healing for the sick by an elder of a church? I have been thinking about it. I know you have to have a lot of faith and not doubt that you can or have been healed.

I have many times and I will continue to do so as long as I have my bladder.
Infact last week I was having a really hard time with this IC. You know, where you just don't have the strength to fight. Where everything in your body seems like it has been run over and where it seems it is not passing this time and you don't know what to do. Well my church has a prayer chain. A lady from that prayer chain called me up and ask if it would be ok if she can put my name on it. At first I hesitate it because you don't want every one to know you have a bladder problem. You know, no matter what you call it, people seems to just call it, oh a bladder problem. Well she started asking me questions and I was honest with her about it. She ask me how I would like it to be explain to the people. I told her I don't know even where to begin, and she said she will tell them about it in her words. Well I tell you, the next morning I woke up and feel energy and renew. This IC can get to your whole body because of dealing with pain and exhaustion, and I do believe in prayers.

    Sending hugs, Trishann

Yes, I have been prayed for by members of my church & several times that has included anointing with oil. I have had a lot of healing over the last 4 years, not the least of which has been emotional & spiritual healing.

I am much better than I was when I first got sick--physically, emotionally, relationally.

I feel very fortunate that, in spite of the IC, I am able to still do what I believe is my purpose here (teaching school). And I do believe that God has facilitated that. There have been many circumstances that have allowed me to continue working where, had they been different, I'd have been forced into disability.

I do wish for remission, but right now I am grateful for my IC being somewhat controlled. I just don't know why some of us are physically healed & some of us are not.

One thing that does make sense to me, is that when we pray to God for what we want (including healing), it's not like God doesn't already know the desires of our hearts, the prayer is our acknowledgment that God exists, is benevolent, and that our lives belong to Him...

I have also had this done. I even remeber it was 07/04/2003. I went to visit my aunt last year and she said to me "at the end of the day the only one you have is god" hold on to him.

Kadi that is so true. I believe that God knows what we need before we ask him what we need. Matthew 6:5 brings this out. your right he can read our hearts and everything. He is a powerful being and a loving God. I will pray for each and everyone on the IC site tonight.
May the lord be with you
