  • Sis with stage 4 melanoma

Took my sister out looking for new undies. Her stomach is so tender from surgery #1 she can't stand 'feeling' anything there and the same after they removed all the lymph nodes from her right leg so she's been trying all different brands her right leg can tolerate (I've suggest thongs but shes' not goin' there

She has always taken care of everything in the house. We didn't know if her husband could even start a lawn mover When I was there the other day. It had been quit sometime since I've been there because her treatments seem to be having more icky affects than when she first started.

While I was sitting at her kitchen table I looked out side and said "who in the he$$ did all of that?" She said, "Paul"....he put patio bricks around the whole back yard and planted her a huge flower garden....he does the upkeep and makes sure they are watered.

Well, we (my other sister and I) are not allow to cry infront of my sister. And I respect that. I can do all the crying I need to at home but when I saw that flower garden and she told me who had done it I just broke down in tears....they've been married for 33 years and I think he gave her the best gift possible blink

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow".

That was wonderful of him to do that. Maybe he is realizing what is going on here. I continue to pray she will be OK.

Oh Teri, that was such a sweet posting, what a nice guy, I know I would be crying at just seeing that. That was so sweet, and I can just imagine your sister looking at thongs and thinking ouch don't go there! Hope her soreness starts to go away soon, and she will feel a little better. Thanks for sharing Iris hi grouphug
