  • Need prayers, desperate~

My sister was dx'd with stage 4 melanoma in November. She's been thru 2 major surgeries. She is on the Interferon treatments and has just developed a blind spot in one of her eyes. Her oncoligist made the appt with an eye dr for her on Tuesday.

I"m real sure that I spelled oncoligist wrong but how many times do you figure you're going to need to use it in your life.

Please, EVERYONE, PLEASE add my sister Diane to your prayer lists
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow".

Praying for Diane right now, Teri.

        Diagnosed August 2001

Current IC meds: Elmiron (since 2001), Levaquin (one pill after intercourse to prevent UTIs), Effexor (for depression & anxiety)

Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA, Lexapro (for depression & anxiety, but also helped my IC) (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)

I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for about 8 years now.

“We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.” ~ Viktor Frankl

“You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.” ~ Brian Tracy

            hi Teri,
I will keep a prayer going up for you and your sister. Don't let Satan wear you down! Just keep in mind, as long as we follow & trust Jesus, there is a mountain top for every valley we find ourself in and Jesus will be by our side to hold our hand and walk us through the valley.
"Keep the faith" and know that every stumbling block Satan puts in our path we can overcome with the help of Jesus. Be strong and I hope you can get your MRI soon and find out what's going on. Keep us posted.
            Prayers & grouphug

They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.---Isaiah 40:31
