  • Leandra's Poem, by Sonja

This I wrote for my daughter after her first year, she was not expected to live after birth and she is our miracle. I hope you like it.

    The Winds Cry
I sit alone amidst the star drenched sky
where tumbleweeds roll and the grasses grow high
In the silent moment of Women and God
I hear the winds whisper for Leandra

Miracle Child,a Divine Gift from above
surrounded by beauty, proof of Love
During the happy moments of beloved friends
I hear the Winds Whisper for Leandra

Oh, who of us know where our future lie
Who can say we are perfect in anyones eye
Only in innocense, a fresh born child
I hear the Winds Whisper for Leandra

Thank you God from my lowly heart
For the beauty of this child is only Your Art
And when my mind is feeble, my body weak
Let me leave from this World knowing
That the Winds still Whisper for Leandra

    Your Mommy,Sonja

Thankyou so much for sharing that beautiful poem. It is very good and well written. How old is your daughter now? God is good isn't he? Take care.
Hang in there , There is hope.
    There is hope. Prayer works.

    Love, Debbie

Your poem really touched my heart, as I nearly lost my daughter before she was born. I feel she has had a guardian angel with her always. Really touching and beautiful poem Sonja, thank you for posting it. Hugs Iris kissing grouphug
