  • I Tried a Banana with Prelief, Oh Dear

Yesterday I tried a banana. I took some prelief first, and it didn't make any difference, (it does work for some people). By nightime I was flaring something fierce. It has been a long time since I tried "forbidden foods", everyone is different but my two cents worth is to be careful and don't assume everything will be ok.
    Warmly,

Songbird!! I am so sorry you are feeling so much pain.

I was at my friends house last night and she had a basket of clementines out. I stared at them. I miss them dearly. I had prelief, but I didnt dare try. I was scared.

Prelief does work for me for MOST things, but not all. And a Banana...I believe its not that acidic.

I believe, and I really hate to say this, is the form of Potassium in the banana. Or perhaps the amount. Its strange. I can eat foods that are high in potassium without a problem....Broccoli, Spinach....Celery....

I can NOT however drink Dasani water. I think its the Potassium molicule in it....potassium can be found in different compounds. I think this has something to do with it.

I do want to say as a kind of disclaimer: Potassium is a very neccesary vitamin. It controls muscle impulse function of heart muscles. It should not be limited in the diet.

I do think, however, that might be the irritant in the banana's. I am too scared to try one!! And I dont really care for banana's that much.....BUT, I do miss my clemintines!!

    Hugs,
    happy new year!

When I crave a banana, I will eat a green one. I can get away with those better than a ripe banana. Just one bite of a banana with a yellow peel and......Ouch!

Bananas get me too. What do you put on your salads for dressing? I am dying for a salad but need some "sauce".

I am ok (sometimes) with banana's but if I have just one strawberry...omgoodness. it's really sad too because I love them and we grow them here in Plant City and they are in season...so sad...
