White Hot Chocolate
I recently tried Dunkin' Donuts' white hot chocolate, after viewing their tempting commercial at least a dozen times. Before I did I checked the nutritional facts. I was just wondering if the ingredients seem "safe". I didn't flare up?? I mean...it actually tastes like regular hot chocolate (or at least what I remember regular hot chocolate tastes like). It is probably too good to be true. Anyways, can you find anything wrong with ingredients (other than it being filled with calories)??? Is it IC-diet friendly??? I am hoping for this miracle but if you can find anything to obliterate my dream coming true, please tell me, otherwise I will continue to chug this stuff. Thanks♥

I wouldn't say you're crazy, I've had it a couple of times as there is a dunkin donuts right next to the grocery store I go to and as soon as I saw the commerical I wanted my hubby to get me some. I didn't seem to have a flare from it either. I'm sure that w/ all the ingredients that someone might flare from it but if it's okay for you then why not go for it!Christine
I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.
I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

Ok, don't get grossed out because when I found something sweet I could eat safely I went a little nuts.
I got a ten pound box of Ghirardelli white chocolate powder so I could make my own mochas and it doesn't make me flare! So I've bee known to eat the powder out of the box.
But it's so darn good! And I didn't realize how much I missed chocolates and sweets!Comment

I have a medium hot white chocolate once a week. No problems and it's so yummy. Pretty sure it has a million calories, but it's soooo gooooood.Comment

I LOVE white chocolate, but I've never seen the hot chocolate in white chocolate. Is the Land o Lakes stuff in the grocery store??

I've always made my own hot white chocolate..but I can't have too much cause I will end up hurting, but at least this way I can make a batch, put in it the fridge and then reheat it for later in the week.Comment

I ordered the Ghirardelli white chocolate off of Ebay, and I know you can get it from business type stores like for latte's. I paid about $45 for ten pounds which may seem expensive until you look at how many homemade lattes you can make and how much money you'll save out on lattes.

Yes, you can find Land of Lakes in the coffee/chocolate isle in the grocery store. I found it in the Walmart. Haven't been able to find it anywhere else.Comment

you could also just melt some of the white choco chips in some milk (I melt them in almond milk, just a preference).Comment
