  • Yogurt and Oatmeal

Hi, I was wondering if plain yogurt ( with no additives or preservates ) is OK to eat without a chance of a flare.

I was also wondering about oatmeal. Is that ok to have too?

I am needing to find something to eat for breakfast that is high in protein, and that will keep my blood sugar level even, so that I don't poop out so much at work and then get anxious.

Can anyone let me know about these two foods?

    Thank you!

    Dee

      Hi Dee,
I don't know about the yogurt but I think oatmeal has become a trigger for me. I had a flare earlier this week and I think it was the oatmeal. Remember we are all different so you are probably going to just have to try it and see how you react. Hugs,

Don't know about yogurt, but oatmeal is okay for me. I eat it with a few raisins & almonds...

I also need protein @ breakfast- a great breakfast for me is a scrambled egg and also a bowl of shredded wheat (from health food store - no BHT in pkg & no added vitamins) with almonds & blueberries with nonfat milk.

        Hope that's useful

Thank you all for you replies, I really appreciate it.

It's so hard to find something that is good for you and that you need, without causing a flare...so frustrating!!

So, thank you for letting me know what you guys do, and how you feel.

          HUGS,
          Dee
