I would love to find an all purpose, no iron general vitamin that didnt flare IC. Seems everytime I buy one and take it I get an attack of the pees.
Could anyone recommend one?

Meds: Melatonin 3mg @ bedtime if needed. Estrogen 1.5 mg troche and 0.1 mg Estrace cream.
Diagnosis: IC, PFD (both in remission)
Some ICers do okay with children's vitamins, but they may not have as much iron as you are looking for. You might want to research and eat more iron-rich foods.

If you can eat vegetables, you probably don't need vitamins. If you can eat red meat, there's your protein. Potatoes are my only vegetable, I eat meat every day and I have lots of energy. But it could just be me. I'm used to not taking vitamins since I don't like having to take pills regularly. Regular exercise helps your body turn food into the good stuff better and also gives you more energy over time.
Sorry I don't have a vitamin suggestion. One idea would be liquid vitamins or soft chews.
I haven't had any trouble taking my vitamins, but I seem to have very few food triggers. B-complex vitamins seem to trigger flares for some people with IC, as well as C vitamins since they are usually in citric or ascorbic acid. The multivitamin I use has ester-c in it, which is supposed to be more gentle, but it also has a b-comlex. Buying individual vitamins can be a pain in the butt and in your wallet, but might save you some pain in your bladder. I alternate and take my multi one night, then take my "loose" vitamins the next night. If you really feel you need a multiple, then check to make sure it has ester-c, if it even has any c at all, and see if you can find one that avoids the iron and b-complex.
Basically, I've found, when you have IC you pretty much have to homeschool yourself in nutrition to get it all figured out.
