I haven't had any problems with "white foods" either...Just be careful what you add to them or put on them, that may be a problem.

One of the first things I said to my boyfriend about the IC diet was that there was virtually no color on my plate except white and yellow. Weird, huh?

I have to intentionally add color, whereas before, I ate more colorful foods than anyone I knew.

That's a new one --- I hadn't heard it before. I find there are lots of white foods I can have --- a few examples are potatoes, cauliflower, rice, white bread, egg whites, milk, pasta. I do avoid acid foods.

White foods are usually carbs & I find they don't bother me. Just keep experimenting. Kathi

Not that I am aware of, things like white rice, string cheese and whatnot were major staples for me in the early diet days. It's more about what's in the food than the color - for instance, highly acidic foods like tomatoes, cranberry juice etc. are troublemakers for our bladders as are foods with lots of preservatives, for example MSG etc. I eat from all food color groups,

    Hugs,
    Tracey

I heard or seen someplace that "white foods" can be bad for IC'rs too? Does anyone know if this is true or not?
