    Carob Banana Smoothie

    I make this almost daily:

2 cups Rice Dream Carob flavor
    1 frozen banana
4 drops toffee flavored Stevia (can use honey instead)

    Blend and enjoy

    Fruit smoothies sound sooo good.

I don't know about anyone else but cinnamon hurts "me" really really bad. Took me awhile to figure that one out.

Wow, Christine, you are a very lucky IC patient if you can tolerate those recipes! Every one of those would send me into a mega flare! In addition to the chocolate, peaches, orange juice, & bananas ---- yogurt & soy can also be IC triggers.

TBN: A friend of mine sometimes cooks pears with cinnamon, then adds them to hot milk & blends. More of a warm drink than smoothie, but another idea...

Be extremely cautious if you try orange juice, peaches, or chocolate in a smoothie. I can have a banana sometimes, but not every day. Another filler that might work well is cottage cheese --- it gets very smooth in the blender. You could try adding blueberries or any other fruit you can tolerate. Also Torini and DaVinci syrups are delicious and they come in fruit flavors --- you can get them sugar free if you tolerate Splenda. I sometimes use vanilla ice cream, fruit flavored syrup, and a little milk to make a kind of smoothie/shake.

    smoothies

    Hi,

I tried a smoothie with frozen banana, frozen bluberries, milk and a bit of honey. It was pretty good. If I have a banana that is riper than I like to eat, I chop it and put it in the freezer - ready to go for a smoothie.

Closest thing I've found is a vanilla milkshake with blueberries blended in it.
Wonder what it would taste like with canned pears & cinnamon blended in?
