I am going to be going on a short vacation the first weekend in June, and I am wondering if anyone has a good list of restaurants and foods that are fairly IC friendly??? I am only on my 3rd month on Elmiron so I don't want to "rock the boat" too much yet. We are going to Kansas City if anyone has any places that they have been there!

I've never been to Kansas City, but I do know that "diner" type restaurants work well for me (egg breakfasts, hamburgers). Steakhouses can work well if you ask them to make the steak with no seasonings, baked potato with butter, steamed vegetables. Italian restaurants can make plain pasta with butter, also.
Some chain restaurants I have found IC friendly (don't know if they're in KC, but maybe?): Sweet Tomatoes or Fresh Choice, Subway, Carrows.
Have a great trip!Kadi

I live in KC and there are a lot of restaurants to go to. I like Cheesecake Factory I always get the filet Mignon and fries. I tell the waiter that I need it with no seasonings and they cook it right every time. I also get the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake.
Cracker Barrel for breakfast they have real maple syrup so I don't need to bring my own. I get the Maple Pancakes and do just fine. If going to breakfast some where else I have small containers that I take my own maple syrup with me. Pancakes and waffles are usually safe for me.
There are restaurants down on the Plaza like McCormicks and Scmicks will cook your seafood just like you need it. California Pizza Kitchen is also on the plaza I get White Pizza there or Fettucine
For fast food the ones I mostly go to are McDonalds, Arbys, Subway and Wendys .

Thank you all so much I am printing this out so I have it for reference. I have been so focused on the diet for a while that I have been really afraid to try most things.Jennifer

Subway is easiest because you can tell them specifically what you want on your sandwich. At other fast food places, I usually order a hamburger or cheeseburger with nothing on it but lettuce and if I'm really wanting a treat, a vanilla milkshake or french fries.

I do exactly the same as Donna
At Wendy's I order a small salad (pick out the tomatoes) & baked potato plain. But I never eat it there, I take it home & put my own safe dressing on the salad & my own butter on the potato.Kadi
