Are we ok with Calcium and Vitamin D supplements? Are there any particular brands?

The information I've been hearing is that you need to talk with your doctor about taking D supplements. My gyn suggested that I take Tums for calcium.

If you experience muscle spasm and so on, Vitamin D is definitely an option! I have checked with me IC specialist and she explicitly recommended it to me. There is even some literature about Vit D and IC in the ICA news.
But as always: better check with your doctor first and maybe get a reading of your current Vitamin D level. Mine was way down, now I take 2000 units a day....

My vit D is also very low. So, according to my doc, I take a supp w/calcium everyday. I've been doing it for years.
