So I bought some caffix and some roastaroma to replace some of my coffee. I found I was getting stomach pain as the day went on and some bloating. I ended up popping more omeprazole and/or pepcid to deal with it. Finally it dawned on me that chicory root is a huge source of inulin which I can't tolerate at all. I don't know if its related to my IBS-C but I have major problems with sugar alcohols too, i.e., sorbitol - like whats in sugar free gums etc, maltitol etc.
Is it just me? Do any of you experience this?
Its so frustrating because I'm trying to find alternatives to drink on cold days and I can't tolerate them either though for different reasons.
