Just thought I would post about American cheese. I was out of mozzarella cheese which my bladder can tolerate so I noticed on the IC diet cheat sheet from this site that American cheese is bladder friendly. So my husband bought me a pack. I tried it and had a flare. Since he is lactose intolerant we gave the pack of cheese to our neighbor. Which was a bummer I could not have it since we bought it at Dollar General and it was three dollars for the pack. We only bought the cheese at Dollar General since the store is right across the road from our apartment. From now on I am sticking with good old reliable bladder friendly mozzarella.

american cheese
Hi,
Did your husband get white american cheese or orange?
I find that I do better with the white, but certainly, any food can be a problem, even foods on the "friendly" list.
Too bad your DH couldn't eat the cheese, does he take Lactaids with dairy,(off-topic, just wondering).Comment
