  • Problem with prelief

I was taking 2 to 3 prelief a day....caused me to feel real bad with frequent trips to the bathroom...many bowel movements. Like 5pm - 7pm would go 10 times. Felt really awful. Just can't take the stuff

That's extremely unusual --- are you certain it isn't something else causing the reaction?

There is no doubt....tried several months...same thing every day or every other day. I think I am just very sensitive to Magnesium.

Magnesium citrate is often used to relieve constipation so if there's mag in prelief (I'm not familiar with it's ingredients) it will cause diarrhea if you take enough of it.

I was under the impression that prelief was for occasional use, for a flare up or to prevent a flare up, not for regular every day, multiple times per day, use
DX: 4/11 (suffered for 11 years prior to DX)

Although I'm an RN I resist medications/procedures unless it's my last resort, am very into alternative medicine & natural supplements.

Am currently taking quercetin & bromelain, glucosamine/chondroitin, d-mannose, astaxanthin, baking soda in water as needed, & working on the IC diet, trying to narrow down my trigger foods
