    What does fortified/heavily fortified mean?

Okay, so the IC Friendly list say's you can have potato bread which is made from enriched flour, lable ingreidients state mostly vit(B)'s. I'm confused about this, I thought that enriched was the same as fortified. I looked up fortifed and it basicly states that foods that are fortified are fortified with vit(C) and or vit(D), I can see the discrepancy that the vit(C) may have for my Mother, but maybe the definition wasn't as clear as I think it shoud have been. Does anyone have any input on this? The IC Caution list, under Grains tells us to stay away from heavily procesed and fortified foods. Processed without Q. fortified, why? Any information on this would be greatly apreciated. Mom's going crazy evertime she turns around with what she thinks to be safe and ends up in a flare, or rather I should say she has been in a flare for over a year doing everything right. Crazy, crazy! Thanks for your help. Carolyn
