seems that every time I drink cold water from the jug in my fridge I get bad bladder pain..why is that, especially when it takes time to go through our bodies and it's warm when we urinate?
might be a silly question but I'm stumped!
I honestly don't know. I know I drink lots of water with ice in it when it's warm weather and it doesn't bother my bladder.

The cold water might be causing your stomach to cramp ... which then causes your bladder to flare. Drinking really cold water is actually hard on your digestive system, especially on an empty stomach.
Try having a little snack first, then slowly sip the water. Give your body the time in needs to heat up the water, making it easier to pass through your digestive track and bladder.
Me: Canadian. 31.
IC symptoms: Cramping, burning, frequency. Pain!
Pain management: Ibuprofen. AZO. Marijuana. Prelief. The IC Diet.
ah, that could be it..I was wondering if I was drinking lots of it on an empty stomach could do that..I drink about 4L water/day (I'm nursing and that combined w/heat and Elavil cause me to be thirsty!)..
I can usually tolerate cold drinks, but lots all at once is probably the culprit
