I recently tried a pear juice with absorbic acid (citric acid also) and it sent me into a flare. So of course I have no idea if it was the absorbic or citric acid that was the problem. So frustrating...

I've been buying SmartJuice Pear juce - I get it at a specialty grocery store. It's 100% pear juice and nothing else, not even water or sugar. It's the best one I've had. You can look on the SmartJuice website for a grocery store near you that carries it.

Thank you for sharing. We unfortunately don't have a Whole Foods --- maybe some day they'll open a store here.

    Pear Juice!

    Hi,

Just wanted to share a bit of info or suggestions for some of you that are looking for a possible Ic friendly drink to switch things up a bit! I found a Pear juice nectar that I have been trying out the last couple of days that I am doing fine with so thought I would share. I tried the baby Gerber pear juice and don't do well with it they say the baby juice has less ascorbic acid but for some reason it still gives me problems so I scratched that off the list. I Found this new one at whole foods and the brand is called Looza and it's the Pear Nectar Juice it is a thicker consistency then the baby pear juice like it says it is a Nectar juice it also does have ascorbic acid but I had no problems with it and it is actually really yummy.
Working...
