Thanks for the links. I am just so discouraged. The stuff that makes food taste good are all the things we can't have. At least I can still eat garlic. If that was on the list not to eat I would be super upset. All this food stuff is creating a lot of tension in my relationship too which I might post a separate thread later on. I might have Celiac disease too so I am really anxious about not being able to eat anything tasty again. I guess I am just experiencing loss, so I'll get through it is just hard to accept.

    Eating out

My of you mentioned subway. What do you do about the bread? Any suggestions on what breads are okay to eat? At Arby's can you get the bread with the roast beef?

oh btw I dont eat at fast food b/c of all of the annoying msg and additives. If you go out to eat try eating at subway. I would suggest maybe a restaurant not too expensive, but "good" food.

I was going to tell you have something safe like grilled chicken w/veggies and bread. Try adding in one thing like chocolate (maybe dessert?) and see how you feel the next couple of days? Or maybe some sort of fruit dessert? Don't forget you have to eat well the next day or so to figure out if this is affecting you..

Anyplace that serves seafood and salads seems like it would be good. If I get a salad with shrimp I don't even need the dressing. Grilled fish, veges, baked potato.

If you're going for fast food and have a Subway nearby, you should be able to eat there. You can tell them exactly what to put on your sandwich. Cafeterias are good too. If there's a place nearby where they serve breakfast all day, I love hashbrowns with eggs any time. I usually order milk to drink.

My menu of fast for includes cheeseburgers(only if can tolerate like Kraft singles). Be careful though since some restaurants serve more expensive cheeses that we usually can't have. So cheeseburgers plain with only lettuce. Fries from anywhere minus seasoned fries like curly cut. Vanilla shakes and soft serve vanilla ice cream. Bean and cheese burritos with a tad bit of sour cream. (Again only if can tolerate cheese and sour cream.) Just make sure to get it without any sauce or hot sauce. Arby roast beef plain. Sour cream baked potato if you can tolerate the sour cream. Grilled chicken sandwhiches plain with only lettuce. Subway/Blimpies with toppings I can have. Pizza without sauce. Little Cesar crazy bread.

    started a topic eating out?

    eating out?

Ok, so I've started the IC diet, although i already slipped a little, but at least i'm trying... my fiancee wants me to come with him and some friends from work to lunch somewhere and since I'm not even at a place where i'm adding things back in to see how I react, i don't know where to go, and it's my choice......any suggestions?

so very confused, sad and frustrated about all of this.
