I just want to put a friendly reminder out there to triple check all your food labels! I've been following the IC diet for 2 years now and it helps me tremendously. Over the summer I discovered a frozen yogurt from Trader Joe's. It's just completely plain, tangy, no sugar added, fat-free yogurt that's been frozen. I think that because it was supposed to be just plain yogurt I must have not looked at the label that closely. I've been eating this stuff like every other day for months now! For some reason last night when I went to dish out a mug full I turned the container around and saw that it has Citric Acid AND Ascorbic Acid!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! I've been flaring off and on all summer and here I thought it was stress related! So like I said, please take a moment and triple check the labels of any packaged foods you may be eating, even if it's something as simple as plain yogurt
Hope this saves someone from making the same mistake I did!
