    Re: No Citrus? Other ways to get your vitamin C!

    Hi, have been taking lemon with honey and cinnamon lemonade every morning for the last few years. I think the lemon has helped me with some issues. So now I read no lemon, BIG DOWNER, as I really love it and it refreshes me. yesterday I took Vit C CannuC I think and I got a big flare, but I don't know if it is from that, I also took Mg, garlic extract and Body Builder!

      Most ICers will have issues with lemon. I know I don't use it. I don't know what's in the body builder so that's a question.

          Hi again;

          I was just wondering as I am using organic cider vinegar as a dressing with olive oil, is it an irritant for you? I am not quite sure about it.

          Thank you!

            A small amount never bothered me, but I know many people are bothered by even the smallest amount of any type of vinegar. I was able to use lemon zest and lemon grass but not lemon juice or concentrate.

              Any amount and any kind of vinegar hurts me a lot. I love it too.

                Re: No Citrus? Other ways to get your vitamin C!

                I'm searching for an answer for my 2 week flare. I have added aloe smoothies to my diet and use pears, blueberries, and pear juice. The juice has ascorbic acid to maintain color. I can't find anything that tells me if any of those things are acidic on the internet.
                I have stopped taking my aloe and marshmallow root today since I started those at the same time as the smoothies. I never had frequency issues and now, i do :/
                Any help appreciated <3

                  Re: No Citrus? Other ways to get your vitamin C!

                  I was always suspicious of pre made bottled pear juice because of possible additives so I bought a juicer and juiced my own. That way I knew exactly what was in it, which was fruit only and nothing else.

                    Makes sense! I'm lazy but will buy raw pears ...
