  • Oatmeal topping ideas

I'm finding oatmeal is one of my best breakfasts for lasting through the morning. I'm trying to find some variety to it though.

    I've had these as toppings:
    Brown sugar & raisins
    Raisins & cinnamon
    100%maple syrup
    Honey & almonds
White chocolate chips & dried blueberries
1tsp of Colorado Mountain Pear jam (ICN shop)
Unsweetened coconut with or without almonds added

    Any other ideas?
    Kadi

I mix a coconut date roll in mine. It adds some sweetness and adding a little extra coconut gives it a little change. I also love fresh blueberries and milk over mine. And sometimes I make my oatmeal with coconut milk.

I am okay with Nutmeg and often sprinkle a little on my oatmeal. Brown sugar is another favorite. And blueberries from the freezer.

I just like my oatmeal with skim milk and a teaspoon of sugar. I used to use applesauce and brown sugar also.

You just brought up a memory for me. My mom used to put ice cream sprinkles on our Cream of Wheat. I can still remember the colors swirling on top of it. I think we used less sugar that way because it was fun!

            Re: Oatmeal topping ideas

I recently bought a spread made with coconut and vanilla bean. There are no preservatives.
I can't wait to try that one!
Elmirion: 2 pills 2X per day
            Orthocept
            Elavil: 50mg at bedtime
            Wellbutrin: 300 mg
            Adivan: 1mg when needed
            Codeine 300-30 mg when needed
            Benadryl
Desert Harvest Aloe 4 pills 3x per day
Marshmallow Root: 20 drops in water 3X per day

I often have to suffer in silence because nobody can understand what IC feels like unless you have it.
This illness causes me to feel lonely.
