Any good stuffing and dessert ideas for us gluten-free and dairy-free folks? My first Thanksgiving with IC. Help! Everything on the internet has soy and other forbidden ingredients!
My current regimen:
Dancing, Laughing, Petting Emily and Louise - my shihtzus
Tried and gave up on:
Diazepam
PFD
Warm Baths
Millions of supplements
Elmiron instillations - did 5 weekly instills and did not help. Gave up.
Oxytrol patch - no consistent relief after 3 weeks and very expensive
Sanctura XR - tried for 6 weeks with no consistent relief
Imipramine - tried for a week, but started to have a "hesitant" void - kind of twitchy.
PTNS - doctor's office was disorganized, appts took hours and gave up after 4 treatments
Vaginal valium suppositories - not as effective as taking valium orally
Cystoprotek - ridiculously overpriced - taking same supplements from CVS
Elmiron - 100mg in the morn, 200mg in the late afternoon - no results after 1 year
Elavil - 25 mg at night- no consistent relief and 5 extra pounds
IV Vitamin C - the only person with an allergic reaction to Vitamin C drips
Hormones
I'm making roasted vegetable stock this weekend. It is good to use for the liquid in stuffing and also makes an awesome gravy. Because most gluten free bread more closely resembles a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser than something edible, I'm making my own to cube up for stuffing. The Gluten Free Goddess blog has lots of bread recipes that you might find helpful.
Magic Eraser....ha! I was thinking of buying Bob's Red Mill gluten free flour and trying to make a bread with that. Or maybe I'll just go with a wild rice pilaf. Thanks for the tips!!

Do you use the apple cider vinegar and soy milk in the recipe? Sounds scary. You know, before IC I used to swallow 1 tbs of apple cider vinegar a few times a week to try to lose weight. Maybe that's what did me in! Since I've had IC I have lost all my extra weight...be careful what you wish for.
But, I digress...
