  • Bladder safe chicken stock/broth

Hi all. I have noticed recently that chicken/meat stock (think you guys call it broth in the US) irritates my bladder. In the UK, they are mostly powder cubes that you add water to. Most pasta/casserole’s/soups have this ingredient in. Is there a bladder friendly version or alternative for sauces? I’m wondering if I save and store the fat from meats that I cook and then add this back in if this will work and make dishes more tasty? Although I’m not sure how long this could be saved for before it goes bad... Thanks, Sarah!

You might want to make your own broth by boiling chicken or beef, then adding things like celery and herbs. I like to add salt, thyme, oregano, and sometimes basil, depending on what I'll be doing with it. Adding fat back may not improve the taste at all.

    Stay safe
