  • Overnight oatmeal

This is the easiest breakfast recipe and it tastes really good! No cooking required!

    1/2 cup regular oatmeal
1 cup almond milk (or any kind of milk)
    1 banana
optional--almonds, honey, cinnamon, blueberries, pears, etc

Mash banana with oatmeal in bowl.
    Add milk and stir.
Refrigerate overnight and that's it, it's ready to eat.
In the morning you can add the optional stuff, but I like it as is.
It's actually very good cold! But you can heat it up in the morning if you like

Sounds absolutely delicious! That's the breakfast I ate every morning before IC. It's interesting because the urologist/IC specialist said to stay away fro
bananas. Do you think it's because they are high in potassium?

What I'd give to eat a banana again! I'm wondering how many IC'ers can tolerate bananas?

Some ICers can have bananas. I can have one occasionally, but not every day. They have a tendency to give me an upset stomach. I eat regular oatmeal almost every day for breakfast. I like the kind that cooks in one minute. I like to sprinkle on a little nutmeg.

I love oatmeal too, I like to cook mine and I put some brown sugar in the water while cooking it or pancake syrup. It makes it really good and then you already have the flavor. When it gets cold I like the lumpy stuff cold with milk and brown sugar. I am getting hungry
