I would also have to question drinking rain water. I think my inclination would be to have it tested to be certain it's not contaminated. I drink our well water, but we have an ultraviolet filter on our pump so we know our water is clean.
You might think about purchasing the book, Confident Choices, by Julie Beyer, an IC patient. It's a helpful guide to an IC diet. Julie is an IC patient and a dietitian. There's also a book, A Taste Of The Good Life, also written by an IC patient (Bev Laumann) that's an excellent resource. Both are available in the ICN Shop.

I'm really glad that you are feeling better. I wanted to ask you about the rain water. Where did you hear that this was better than say, bottled water or filtered water? I'm not knocking it, I'm just curious on what made you decide to do it. I'd be a little leery of it considering our atmosphere, pollution, etc. I'm a FREAK about making sure our refrigerator filter is changed every 6 months to the day and never drink tap water anymore, so your rain water comment intrigued me.
Thanks!
Sandy

Healthy diet
Ladies,
I have not posted in a while. Last year was a crazy year for us, we relocated, changed jobs, etc. Things have finally settled down and I have been able to for the most part control my pain symptoms strictly with diet, drinking a lot of water, prelief, aloe vera and a not too demanding exercise regime. I've also tried to deal with stress. I do not have the energy levels that I had prior to getting sick but I am managing to live a fairly normal life.
I know what not to eat but what about what we should be eating? This year I have felt better drinking rainwater, eating and drinking the best quality of food that I can find particularly good quality milk. I've added rice to my diet recently and I love the energy it gives me and it is a food that has a lot of water. My health seems to be directly connected to how hydrated I stay. My battery is running low so I want to post this.
