  • Does it matter what brand the Prelief is?

I've been looking on line and notice that there are a couple different brands. Does it matter? And I've been reading here about powdered prelief. I haven't seen that, can someone point me in the right direction?

Prelief is not a generic term but a brand. Go to www.prelief.com for lots of info...you can also order the powdered version (as well as the tabs) directly from them.

Oh. I saw some bottles that were different colors so I thought they were different. It's the same thing?

        Dear MiLynn:

Prelief is available in two forms, tablets and powder. Prelief powder can be ordered direct at www.prelief.com (1-800-994-4711) or through a few other online stores, including www.wholesalesupplementstore.com and www.vnfnutrition.com. Prelief powder and tablets are the same formulation; if you crush the pills, you have the powder.

Due to Marketing decisions, the labeling (color and/or wording) may vary, but it is the same Prelief brand product.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you! I found some at a local Walgreens, but will be bookmarking those websites. It's much cheaper online.

I have to agree, it is so much cheaper when you buy it online. I bought the small bottle at Walgreen's to use until I got the big bottles in the mail. If you want to PM you I can give you the link of the website where I ordered mine. This particular site gives you more of a savings for the more bottles you buy. I now use the small bottle to carry prelief in my purse so I always have them with me and have the big bottles in the kitchen so I can take them with all of my meals.

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

Sure, I'd love that website. And what a great idea for the little bottle. Thank you!

Yeah, I pay about $18 for a bottle of 300, too. But Christine, I haven't found a site that discounts for bulk orders. Can you send me that site, too? Thanks!
