  • Prelief is hard to find *argh*

My poor Mom. She was trying to be really kind when she offered to find Prelief for me when she went south of the border, so I agreed. Little did I know that she was going to visit WalGreens in Port Huron, Detroit and Las Vagas to find rude clerks and absolutely no Prelief in sight. Finally she walked (a bloody long way in the heat) to a wonderful pharmacy in Las Vagas to talk to a pharmacist who hadn't heard of it but ordered it in for the next day.

The next time my Mom goes down there, she will not be going to any WalGreens, only that one place that was kind enough to order it in for her.

For Betty, I would like to know where Prelief is REALLY available so when we go down south, we don't have to search and search and waste a whole holiday looking for it ?????????????????????????????????

I know your frustration trying to find Prelief. I just have my pharmacy order it for me. The down side is that the supplier that they get it from only supplies it in 30 tab. bottles. I'm going to try ordering on-line for the larger quantity. You all know how long 30 tabs will last you and now my 17 yo daughter is using it too.

I have ordered Prelief on line in the powder packets, the tablets and the shake-on powder. Powder's good for sprinkling in coffee and stuff I probably shouldn't be eating in the first place! The only thing Walgreen's here carries is the tablets. Also, I emailed the Prelief people and they told me all the stores out here in CA that should carry them, altho' only one did--Walgreen's. It's actually a dollar or two cheaper at the store than by mail, but then the cost of gas, etc., makes it worthwhile to do the mail thing.

I get mine at Wal-Mart. Even if they do not carry it the should be able to order it for you....if they have a pharmacy inside of Wal-Mart. I have never been to Canada, so I am not even sure you have this department store. I hope you find an easier way to get prelief in the future.

          Dear Lisa:
I am sorry that your Mom had a hard time locating Prelief (and that she encountered such rude clerks!). Trust me, all Walgreen Pharmacies should have it on their shelves; if is not on the shelf (with the antacids), you need to talk to the store manager (he does the ordering). The pharmacist and/or clerk won't have a clue! I even give out Walgreens Vendor Reorder Number (692725). That is the number that the store manager uses to reorder Prelief 120 tablet bottle. All WalMart stores (in the U.S., not available in Canada) carry the Prelief 120 tablet size also. You need to go to the antacid aisle; Prelief is on the second shelf from the bottom. Anyone who is having trouble locating Prelief, please do not hesitate to call me at 1-800-994-4711. I will be happy to assist you and see that you find it!!

          For Jean12:
Prelief 120's are available at all WalMarts and Walgreens. All RiteAid pharmacies also now stock the 120's. Again please contact me, I can help you find the Prelief 120's locally. It is more economical to purchase at the store (WalMart sells Prelief 120's for $8.84.)

          For kat:
In California, Albertson's,Longs,Walgreen's, and WalMart should have the 120 in stock. If not, they (the store manager) can get it for you. Please call me (1-800-994-4711) if you need help!

            Hi Betty,
I'm the one that emailed you about the price difference between mailing Prelief and what you buy in the stores. I do know that Albertson's is supposed to carry it but I haven't been able to find it there. Wal-mart isn't anywhere near me, but I'm happy to know that Rite-Aid is now carrying it because they are all around me. So thank you for that bit of info!

I do like the packets and shakers of the powder, tho', and will keep ordering those by mail unless they start to carry them in the stores.

              Dear Kat:

Thanks for the feedback! Dont't forget, if you go into Albertsons or RiteAid and Prelief is not on the shelf, ask the STORE MANAGER; he can order it for you - RiteAid's Vendor Reorder Number (for the Prelief 120 tablet)is 345473;Albertsons's Vendor Reorder Number (for the 120 tablet)is 803064. Some pharmacies can Special Order the granulate for you, but the shaker is only available direct.

              Betty
