  • Sodium bicarbonate/Chloride?

My mother got sodium chloride for Elmiron instils but I've only heard of bicarb being used.
The pharmacist said it was "better" for instils but she doesn't know anything about IC

Is the choride IC safe? I know potassium chloride causes pain for ICers so I'm scared to try this without knowing

Sodium cloride is salt. So she would be getting a saline solution. Sodium bicarbonate "bubbles" so it makes meds more easily cover the bladder lining.
