Wow....I am so proud of you for asking about the DMSO solution. I can't believe you are still at work. You are super woman I had 4 DMSO treatments and they were so painful. I am glad that yours are working out o.k. for you. Let me know how you continue to do with them.
      Hang in there

LOL, I don't know about superwoman. I have a desk job and I took AZO, sat w/ my heating pad on and ending up taking a vicoden because my urethra started hurting really badly.
I'm happy that I got the lower percentage of solution but I'm not very optomistic about it working. As long as it's at a safer solution where I don't have to worry about damage to my bladder I'm at least willing to try it.
They're not fun I'll say that much but maybe I'll be like some of the other ladies and feel much better when I'm done the 6 weekly treatments. If not I think I'm going to ask to try rescue instill instead.

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)
