  • DMSO questions

Okay so my IC dr has decided that it is time to try DMSO instills.
I had what the mixture was and mentioned the Rimso 50, and asked if it was 50/50 and she was like no nothing is mixed 50/50. But she gave us a list of the mixture so we can look them up and see what we think. So I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion on the stuff.

    50 cc DMSO (Rimso 50 = 50% DMSO)
    10cc sodium bicarb
    10,000 IU heparin sodium
    80 mg gentamicin
    40 mg triamcinolone

Does this sound normal? Should I be nervous?

    Thank you
    Kirsten

The recommendations I have read say that the DMSO should be no more than 1/4 of the solution --- the contents you listed above are within that range.

Donna Thank you very much for your input. I am going to do a little bit more research before I agree to that. It really scares me the thought of DMSO's.
