I can't get a second uro opinion about my instills due to doctor turning me down. I have been doing them at home, but lateley they are not working as good. If you do an instill are you supposed to drain the bladder with catheter then do instill or pee before instill? I use a pediactric feeding tube and not all the urine comes out of the tube? Is this okay? What does everyone use in their instill?

You can empty your bladder before the instill but some will usually still drain out when you insert the catheter, don't worry about the small amount left in the catheter go ahead with your instill.
Are you saying your Dr won't let you do instills or won't let you get a second opinion? You know you should be free to have a second opinion at any time. If I were turned down for that I might have to rethink seeing that Dr. Just my opinion but I really don't think that would sit well with me at all!
My instills are elmiron and marcaine.

The other physician refused to see me. He said that he wouldn't do anything different than what my uro is doing right now. When I went to see my uro I didn't feel like he was very informative of IC. I like my gyno better. Guess I will have to go through my gyno to get the treamtments I need. I just really wanted a uro to follow me. Thanks for the info!
