Steam sauna??? Healing benefits.....???

Have you ever tried a steam sauna? hat My husband goes to Athlethic Club to exercise. I went with him just to try a steam sauna. I found an article on Internet about steam sauna. An article was saying that it can help the immune system to function better and to speed the healing process. It seems to help me with pain. Right now I try to go once or twice per week to steam sauna and it is still working.
I would like to hear your opinion about steam sauna. Can it bring long relief from pain or it is just short term relief?

I don't know yet, but if I get my lazy self up to the city rec center, I'll try it, see if it helps me and let you know.
