I lost my botox insurance appeal and I am so upset. The botox is the only thing that has helped me. I feel like stuffing all that paperwork in those insurances peoples mouthes. How can they play god and decide you can't get a treatment when it helps. They would rather pay for all the other expensive treatments that don't even work as well like instills and my bladder being removed. aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh I am so mad
IC/IBS Hopeful : I had my bladder removed on September 29, 2008 for me but I am also so happy I have no regrets

Some insurance companies will not approve Botox injections because they are not FDA approved for IC. I know that the military will approve the Botox injections if you have rectal pain documented in your medical records. The military has the strictest rules for approving drugs that I have ever seen. Some docs have contacted various insurance companies to ask what medical conditions qualify for insurance coverage of Botox. Other docs use the Botox patient assistance program. The patient assistance program works with your doc and your insurance company to get the Botox injections approved. To learn more about the patient assistance program visit www.botoxmedical.com.

Hi! The no. for that web site for the botox is 1-800-442-6869. I do the botox and my insurance pays for the botox. I went through the Botox Avantage Program.
