2nd round of botox

My first round of botox went great with doctor moldwin but only lasted 3months. Im now in the worse pelvic pain ever. It hurts to wipe myself after i go to the bathroom. My insurance paid for the botox! The 1st and now the
2nd time. The only thing that wont be paid for fully is the surgrey itself. Persistence and being annoying calling everyday pays off. I thank my mom for that. My procedure is June 12th. I have regents exams that week so please pray for me. I need the prayers and i will certainly do the same in return. I will update as it gets closer and after the botox to update you.
16yrs old and i have to go through this...... I would have never thought..But thanks and im praying for everyone. Take care.

Hi Laura,
I'm so sorry that your so young and have to deal with this disease. I'm 46 and I have a hard enough time getting a grip on it, I can't even imagine having to go through it at 16! So I really feel for you. Good luck on your exams, I'm sure you'll do great!

Laura, you are a brave young lady. I feel badly that you have to endure all this pain at such a young age. I started having bladder problems at 19, but they did not get bad until several years later. Good luck on your next treatment. I will keep you in my prayers also.

Botox

Laura, I do Botox down in Miami, Fl with Dr. Gousse. The first three times I was put to sleep but know I have it done in his office under local. This has been going on since 2003. I did 3 year trail study with him but know I am paying for the botox. I am so lucky that my insurance is paying for it. I hope that the botox last longer this time for you. How much botox do you get? Where does he put it? Will be thinking about you.

200cc's

He does 100cc's on either side of my pelvic area. But where im not actually sure. Dr. Moldwin said he also does it in his office too but im still so tender and in so much pain i wouldnt be able to handle that. He did a lil tiny internal exam and i was in tears after. Then i had to fly home which sucks. But i cant even walk because it sets everything off for weeks. But im hoping this works longer and cant wait to get it done again so i dont have to worry about the pain and hopefully be able to go back to school. Ive even started weight watchers because ive gained 30 pounds since ive been sick! In 4 weeks ive only lost 2.2 pounds. I cant eexercise and with the meds its hard. But im hoping for the best thanks again!! Also my bladder is back to normal!!!!!!!

I have severe muscles spasms in the pelvic muscles. My bladder has been doing great. No urgency or freq......only when i have an infection which is about every couple months. Ive been able to go back eating and drinking everything with no problem. The pelvic pain is just the worse thing in the world. My mom and dad are wondering.....what does the pain feel like to you guys?? My mom sometimes wonders if it feels like giving birth but i really dont know how to explain it. So how do you explain your pelvic pain as being????
To me its like getting hit in the pelviis with a baseball bat over and over again. AHHH! But thanks for all the prayers and help!!!

What does IC pain feel like?

Laura,

To me giving birth was much easier than having IC pain. At least with giving birth the pain would eventually go away. IC does resemble being hit with a baseball bat or being kicked every 5 minutes in the pelvic area. (Your dad can probably relate more to the being kicked part!).

4 Days!!!

Four more days until the botox. Im so excited because i am in sooo much pain and cannot wait to get relief. My insurance has covered the botox we only had to pay 29$ for 2 viles 100cc's!!!!! It was shipped to our house so we have to bring it on a plane with us to Long Island. Dr. Moldwin was like WOW i cannot believe it was covered. But it helps a great deal and i thank my mother for that. She would call the insurance company pretty much everyday and sometimes maybe twice a day. I guess they got so annoyed they covered it LOL!

Does anyone notice that if you walk too far or fast that you have major pelvic pain afterwards?? If i run around with the dog....sit on a chair too llong ( a hard one) or walk too far or fast i get sooo much pain. I had to go into school for a lab practical and it seemed i had to walk a mile just to get to the classroom (science wing). Then i felt the pain just like that.....then the next day its 10x's worse but then the day after that (today---Friday) im much better.

It was hard for me to go into school. I was so scared and i havent seen my friends in so long....even sadder part was when i was sitting outside the classroom waiting for my teacher to come out from the class.....bell rang.....friends and people i knew walked by and never said hey how are ya. At first i thought of it as a blessing because i havent seen them in so long and was nervous...but then when i was talking to my counsler/social worker...it really sunk in....i realized it was very upsetting but hey what are you gonna do about it...They ask what is wrong with me but nobody knows what IC is so they think its nothing....they arent smart enough to know what PFD is so i guess they think its nothing...Had to vent sorry this is so looong!!

But if i were to go back to school in september....and i had to walk so much would my pelvic pain come back again and create problems where i would have to start homeschoool again??? My mom suggested doing the botox every 3months..depending how long the next one lasts....but im so iffy about it. My dad WANTS me to go back...but he has no idea what the pain is like...sometimes i just feel like breaking his pelvis so he knows!!

But im excited about the upcoming week....hoping the botox goes well and that im not too drugged to take my regents exams!!! Please pray for me. I will update either when i get home after the botox( fly in and out the same day) or the day after to let yyou know how everything goes... Thank you so much for the support and prayers. Its wonderful to have a group of people who knows what im going through..without it i have no idea where i would be. Thanks again and sorry its so looooong!!!

Hi Laura I am so happy that your insurance is paying for the botox. There is one thing I would do is take something for the burning pain. I did not have any problem about walking. I will be praying for you and did let us know what happens.
