    How long does Botox last??

    I had Botox injections into my pelvic floor near the beginning of August. After it I noticed I was a bit worse but after a week and some my symptoms got better, like good enough to allow me some sanity and to actually live my life in university and have some fun.
    I noticed 2 weeks ago that my symptoms have been getting worse than my baseline, slowly. I am not sure if it happens to be because I am now on my period, or if the botox is fading, and I am getting scared.
    Does anyone know how long botox should last in pelvic floor? Should I go get another round done if I just had it injected 3 months ago? Please heellpp
    Diagnosed IC and PFD February 2016. Before this I had minor IC symptoms for 6 years.
    Other diagnosis: IBS, Chronic Sinusitis & Rhinitis, Iron deficiency

    I used it for migraine in my forehead and neck, it worked great, I went every three months to get it done.

    I would get the treatment after a few days I could no longer raise my eyebrows, by three months it had sirn off enough to be able to raise my eyebrows again.

    I have read here others getting it in their bladder it has lasted longer. The ever ending story with IC is everyone reacts differently to different treatments.

    I would think you should go discuss this with your doctor.

      Botox in the bladder wall can lasts up to 8 months. I am unsure about the pelvic floor

      Current Meds:
      1 Elmiron 100mg 3x a day
      1 Cimetidine 300mg 2x a day
      4 Gabapentin 300mg 3x a day (3600mg)
      1 - 2 Atarax 25mg at bedtime
      1 baclofen 10mg 3x a day as needed
      200mg of Pyridium 3x a day (usually do in cycles - on for a week or two as needed) - I am very careful about this.
      2 belladonna and opium suppositories as needed for pain daily.
      Bladder instillations (Lidocaine, Heparin, & Sodium Bicarbonate)

      I have tried but failed -
      lidocaine instillations, heparin instillations, oxybutynin by mouth also called ditropan, tylenol 3s with coedine, cyclobenzaphrine, Ativan, vesicare, Oxytrol patches worked for 3 to 4 years and then failed, I tried Uracyst and had some success but my urologist felt that it was not successful so we moved on to trying something else. .

        Hmm okay, thanks both of you for answering! Based off people I've asked and your responses it seems like the norm is 3-6 months-ish so I'm probably due.

          I have had IC since January 2015 and mainly with pain / burning / warm feeling in bladder / discomfort.

          Currently: Elmiron 4x100mg, LDN 4 mg at night, antihistamines

          Tried and didnt work:
          Meds; Uracyst, DMSO, Gabapentin, Cyclosporine A, Amitriptyline, hyperbaric oxygen chamber 40 x sessions, high dose long term antibiotics (8 months)

          Naturals; Colostrum, DH Aloe vera, acupuncture, MSM, Glocosamine, Homoepathic treatment, marshmellow root, chinese herbs, IALURIL, Gotu Kola, D Mannose.

          --

          Please find a cure - so many are suffering
