  • Hmmm...Treatment for IC, is this a scam?

Okay, I feel really stupid for asking this...(I also have no clue where to post this), but I came across this page on the Internet that states this woman "cured" her IC. She sells an Ebook for $30 that tells you what she did. I was wondering if anyone ordered it...lol...I know it seems like a scam to me, but sometimes I just get so DESPERATE. What do you all think? The link is below (copy and paste)...

    Diagnosed with IC April 2007

    Current Medications:

    Elmiron - 3x/day 100mg
    Elavil - 50mg at night
    Enablex - 15mg/day
YAZ - Birth control to stop my period (Period = FLARE!)

    Additional Herbs & Supplements:

    Cystoprotek (6 pills/day)
    MSM/Glucosamine Capsules
    MSM gel (For Urethral Pain)

Too many medications for a 25 year old!

    I WILL conquer this disease!

Instead of posting the website, can you tell us about what cured her? If we haven't heard of it here, it's probably a scam, and 30 dollars for a web book is quite a lot of money.

04/17/09 Crohn's disease almost killed me with a combo of extreme constipation from pain medications. My bowel ruptured, I almost died from peritonitis and spent several days in the ICU then more in a private room on the floor. If you have any questions about severe constipation from pain meds please don't hesitate to send me a message.

Unfortunately, I'd say it's got to be too good to be true - I think by now with all of our members etc, we'd have figured something out if there really was a "cure", bummer. lol. Wouldn't it be nice though?? Well, a girl can dream....

Just remember before you invest any money --- if it sounds too good to be true, it's highly probable that it is. I become extremely irate when people actually prey on people who feel hopeless in order to make a profit.

          E-book for ic cure

          Hey Ladies

Oh well I hate to admit it but I am glad for the sake of others that I was and still desperate as are all of us. I am broke and I confessed I was stupid. I got an e-book. Forget it, It did not work for me and I did exactly and got sooooo sick I could not even talk to my family. Since I cannot mention names I feel it is the same book we are talking. I tried it step by step and my doc ask me not to but I told him if I could help anyone for free by my own experience then I wanted to plus I wanted to get well. I will tell you of my experience and how it works if it is ok to do on this site so you will know what not to do in case anyone tries to tell you what to take and do according to the book.
I thought I was going to get healed alright., but I thought I was about to enter heaven. Please do not waste your money. I thank God I was able to tell you before you spent your money.

          Hugs and Be Blessed

          J.J.

Sort of reminds me of losing weight. I wish there was a "cure" but the only cure that works is to stop eating more than you burn.

I figure if there is a cure that MD's everywhere would be telling everyone and it wouldn't be sold as a cure in a book.

Sort of like losing weight..front page on most mags.

So far my "cure" is having bothersome symptoms taken care of. Works for me but I know it doesn't for everyone..and it might stop tomorrow for me.
