  • CBD oil tastes AWFUL!

I tried CBD oil for the first time a few days ago. It was not flavored, and it was down right disgusting. I tried to hold it under my tongue for a bit as they suggest, but I couldn't stand the way it tasted. And after swallowing it, I couldn't get enough water in my mouth to get rid of that taste. Even an hour later, I could still taste it, and it made me feel nauseous. I haven't taken anymore since.

I know they make some flavors (peppermint, chocolate, etc). Has anyone found one that actually doesn't taste horrid?

I must agree, I just ordered some unflavored CBD oil and it does taste terrible! I held it under my tongue for a bit and swallowed and then ate some blueberries! I was afraid to get any of the flavored ones because my bladder is so sensitive with this flare. But on the other hand, I’m not sure my bladder agreed with the CBD oil 😪😪😪 I’ll have to try it again a different day to be sure.

I don't know anything about how CBD oil is taken --- or how much in a dose --- but if all that has to happen is the oil needs to reach your stomach --- and if the dose is only a few drops --- you might try putting the oil into a capsule (empty ones are available in most pharmacies) so you don't taste it.

That makes sense Donna. But everything I read says to put it under your tongue for 30 secs to 1 min. Maybe faster absorption?

YMMV, but I think the chocolate peppermint flavor Charlotte's Web carries is pretty great. They also have CBD isolate which has no flavor at all (seriously: none) and capsules. I know what you mean though--I've tried a few other brands and wow, yuck.

Pillowfight, I have heard about that chocolate flavor . I wonder how the isolate could have no flavor when this one I tried was so awful! I might order some from Charlotte's web. How much do you take daily and how long does the bottle last? I see they have 2 sizes.

I still haven't quite nailed down my perfect dose, but generally somewhere around 10 to 15mg. More than that and I start to get verrrrrrrry tired and it takes a few days for it to leave my system. If you get their medium strength it would probably last you quite a while, as you'd be taking teeny doses and that's what I do. But you may want to start off with their regular dose to be safe and try it out. I also ordered droppers that have the mg measurements on the side so I can see what I'm doing--the droppers they ship with don't have the measurements marked strangely enough.

Why not order it in capsule form? I talked to a local pharmacist who actually has it available in his store. It's one he highly recommended and claims it is from the very best manufacturer. I plan on trying some soon.

I'm with Dakota. Even if it doesn't help as much or as quickly, it just might work anyway.

Charlotte's Web now has orange and lemon flavors of their oils, and new gummies which are quite good.
