I have been wondering where you have been? I had my trial yesterday. I will have the old unit and the old leads removed on the 16th when I have the new generator implanted. He is doing it that way so it can go in the same pocket, and I didn't want cut on more then need to be.

Thanks for wondering. I have been really busy with baseball, and not doing well with my dads death. Things have really hit home lately with that.

I read your other post stating he left it in. Cant blame him for not wanting to cut on you more than he has to. How are things today and the pain level for you??

Cool... you're lucky you can shower. I was not allowed to remove the dressing, so I couldn't get my back wet. Yuck!

Guess all docs are different with how they do post-op care.

I am SO glad you are doing so well

Those are the same instructions i was given with the "antique version" I have. Even the bathing instructions were the same, mine even stated front facing shower only though.

Thanks for the info! I was totally curious about that stuff... and my trial begins tuesday! Although my trial is three weeks long, my doc said to avoid showering and if I was going to to cover it with plastic like you would with a cast. I guess I'll be smelly! Anyway....I'm grateful for info like this because it helps me with the pre-op anxiety.
