  • SUCCESS AT LONG LAST!!!!!!!!

Well I am happy to report that the interstim implant has changed me. No more burning, no more pain, no more urgent feelings. I still get up to go once at night but it is a small price to pay for such a cessation in pain. Now I have to get off the vicodin. I don't take the fentanyl or oxycontin anymore. I feel normal again. The blood infection was a curve ball, but the doc is convinced it was a stomach fluke and is not talking about removal. He will watch the incision closely, but so far it has been perfect, no pain, no discomfort. I don't even have to see him again for 3 weeks, that is the longest I have gone in 24 months. I am tired from the ordeal and will be cautious, waiting for the pain to return, I can't believe it yet, but I am enjoying the break. Sex is good too, no problem with orgasm.

I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better and have had succes with the Interstim, especially since I am scheduled to have mine done on Sept 12. Do you mind if I ask you some questions? Did you have pain from IC before the implant? What was your major complaint? if you had pain how bad was it? When did you get your interstim? Did you have to have a lot of adjustments? My major complaint is Pain, then frequency and then urgency. I think I could handle the frequency and urgency if I didn't have the PAIN... What do you suggest for me? Should I do the surgery or not?
If you want more information on me you can check out my post of Interstim for Pain yes or no...
thanks for any advice you or anyone can give.

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow".
