Ok, I am feeling much better after seeing the doctor this afternoon.

    1) I STILL have that nasty infection (this is going on almost 2 months and this is the 6th prescribsion of antibotics I'm trying). So, we are trying another one. I was a little relieved because I was afraid he was going to suggest putting me in the hospital with IV antibotics. Crossing my fingers that this one will work.

    2) The pain we made a compromise. I didn't want to take meds 24/7 and he was concerned about that too but was also concerned about the deal keeping the pain low. So. . . . he prescribed lortab 10 I am to take 1 per night whether I need it or not. We'll see how it's doing in 10 days. He says I'm his only chronic pain patient he treats because he normally sends them to a pain clinic but knows what troubles we have had at the pain clinics so we're winging it together!

    3) We're also going to try the muscle relaxer thing. He prescribed me to take up to 2 a day if needed but I'm planning on just taking them at night because I'm not sure how they will make me feel.

He's really a great friend and wonderful doctor. He understands that I know and understand his concerns and feels for my needs also. He lets me help in every decision and is very open to all new treatments I suggest.

    Hi Rhonda:
I am so happy you have a wonderful doctor, it sure helps to have someone who care so much, I know my doctor is just wonderful and understanding as well.
I am unable to take antibotics oral, I alway have to have IV antibotics for my bladder infection, but it is done at home where you have three nurses come to your house everyday, it is better then in the hosptial for sure ..
I hope this medication kick in real fast so you get a whole lot better..
Sending healing thoughts your way Rhonda.

    Hugs Debbie
Thinking positive has got me through to another day!!

Wow, Rhonda! What a great doctor! I'm so happy for you. I sure hope you two and find the right combination of meds and that this nasty infection is cleared very soon. I can't imagine having an infection on top of IC!

      Take care,
