  • Trial removal tomorrow

A few weeks ago, before my trial, I was reading this board and thinking, "I hope I don't end up posting there."

Well tomorrow I have my trial wires taken out. I'm anxious to get them out as I've had these wires in me for a month today. I don't regret trying it and the technology wasn't the problem is was my atanomy.

So, if you are considering the stim, I was assured my, too close together sacral nerves are very, very uncommon.

I'm content to continue with PT and all the other modalities I'm using. The Stim just wasn't my answer.

I'm so sorry that it didn't work and give you some relieve. I hope your removal goes smoothly

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

      Sorry to hear this !!

I know that the InterSim is not for everyone , you don't know until you try the trial and that is the only way you know that if going to work for you..

Have a smooth recovery and I hope you get back to feeling better ..
I hope you find some other kind of treatment or meds to help you out ..

      All the best ; Debbie
Thinking positive has got me through to another day!!

        Hi
sorry to hear the trial didn't work for you...I just had mine put in yesterday. Kind of sore today. I haven't noticed any difference yet, but the doctor tells me it may be a week before I notice anything. He said, "after all, you have had retention for 6 years, you have to give the muscles a chance to relax. So i'm being patient most of the time. Keep your fingers crossed. I'll keep everyone updated.
